Reviews for "Red Code"

Awesome

I've played this about 10 times already and I plan on playing more later.

The only problem I have with this game is that the vulcan is useless (you can't shoot if for long enough and it takes too long to get in and out of) and the auto turret is pretty useless as well. The only way I've been able to get a decent score has been using the rifle and grenades alone. After about level 22 or so, it gets ridiculously impossible and there's no possible way to have enough energy to upgrade your core 2 items before you die. Please either make the turret's prices lower or increase their effectiveness.

All in all though, this game is excellent and I like how challenging it is. The different items show a real potential for strategy and different play styles but there is a clear 'best way' to play the game so that part suffers.

The Enemy health scales up really well but by the time the rifle costs 8000 to upgrade, it becomes impossible to survive long enough to upgrade so please decrease this upgrade cost or increase the damage of the previous teirs

i good but one thing

the mother ship you need it to much but everything other then that is good

I got 29th place :)

Sanch pretty much wrote my thoughts.

OK, but needs a LOT of work.

You've got the foundation for a good defense game, but there are a lot of evident problems. It is entirely pointless to upgrade anything but the rifle. There is also NO need to ever use the burst mode, as one can just spam the single fire with the occasion multi-shotgun shot. And torturing your game's players fingers is really not a good thing, so that needs to be revamped altogether.

The grenade is overpowered, and at level 1 it can take out multiple really tough enemies easily. Like the worm: Which moves painfully slow, doesn't do anything interesting, but takes MINUTES to kill with the rifle. Really annoying.

I spent up to level 11 fighting the same exact monsters I've fought since level 1, which is another problem. Spread your game features over time, so there's something fresh and fun to experience as the game goes along. I also spent all those levels at the very left of the map, killing everything as they come out with the occasional backtracking due to the worms.

The story is also fairly bland and generic. If mankind has conquered the universe, why is there war between races? It's the kind of contradictory and boring sci fi fluff you see in every game and movie. Think up something clever.

All in all though, good job. I recommend updating Red Code with some balancing, and looking into asking some people to test your pre-releases. Good luck!

God,this game rocks.

But i stopped at level 15,because i broke my finger. :(
