Great animation
I think it was great. Explained below.
You really should look at the big picture this flash portrays. Firstly, it never explicitly stated all homeless people are unhappy. If you watched the movie carefully enough, you'll realise he was once an orphan, forced out of his orphanage for his differences. These differences remain ambigous to the audience, but the emotion is clear. The protagonist shows a deep, profound sadness that's reflected in our current world affairs - those who are different are shunned. In my opinion this character does not represent the homeless, no, he represents the many distinguished individuals in the world who remain unnurtured simply for their distinctions. Secondly, your point about this character not experiencing any hardships to get his food is far from the truth. Are you saying the character living alone all his life, with haunting thoughts of his harsh childhood are not enough suffering for him? Does he have to shed blood, cry tears, or scream in pain for his food for it to be deemed difficult?Anyone who feels alone in this vast world, does indeed feel such anguish. So I do believe his hardships have been enough, and this work of art only portrays the light beyond the dark tunnel to better emphasise the moral of it's story.
The individuals who face the hardship of fitting in, can indeed find acceptance (take for instance the policeman - he doesn't represent a policeman, but justice - those alone will find the justice of friendship and support) if they find the confidence to pursue their own emotion, innovations and goals.
Truly a great flash with much depth. You just need to think beyond what you immediately see.

I liked it, I really did. It's nice to see something a little more thoughtful on Newgrounds. Everybody likes a story about a homeless guy that has a happy ending, right? (Except GuyFawkesBeer, I don't know what his problem is) Keep up the good work, man.
