How surprised was I...
...to actually enjoy the hell out of this game! I have to disclse that I am NOT a puzzle game fan so there may be some bias. But this game was GREAT! I was surprised at first that I wasn't hit in the face with anothr tetris/bejewelled/gyromite clone. The next thing that hit me was how simple and fun the concept of stacking things as high as you can is. We've al done it in the real world countless times.
The graphics are simple, crisp, playful and professional.
The physics are absolutely brilliant! Everything effects the world exactly as it should. mass, velocity, shape, momentum, everything is there and more importantly, right! The only knock I have on the graphics are that they're a little bouncy but if they weren't the game wouldn't be as playful and fun.
this game is intelligent and, thank you Jebus, INNOVATIVE! Yes I dropped the I word and I don't use it often, but damnit how nice is it to see something NEW.
The game isn't terribly difficult. I passed every level in no more than 2-3 tries. I guess you could say that it's perhaps a bit too easy. I don't think I'll be playing it again as I've already beaten it and know the patterns that lead to success. The good thing is that it's not completely dependent on you figuring out the pattern that the author wants you too. Sometimes there's a very definite pattern you have to hit, but not always. However I'm not so sure this game is meant to be played over and over and over again. It's a great game to play RIGHT NOW. Like a saucy French whore, it'll be a great 10 minutes. After that, you'll have memories to last a lifetime.
For innovativeness and pure fun 8 of 10. If the replay were higher, maybe a 9.
