Reviews for "The Timewaster Ultra"

Pretty Good

I liked the game, it was a simple concept but very well executed, what I didn't like is levels when buttons moved, especially randomly, otherwise it's fine once I've played it a few times.

The only thing that stopped me playing was that (No fault of your own) my mouse is a piece of sh*t and whenever I managed to get it over the right button in one of the tests in Level 2 it always failed me when I pressed the big orange button, i had already done evrything else and it happened about 3 times before I got annoyed... If my mouse was better though I probably would have kept going.

Superb

i loved this game, its frustrating but not so much so that you give up and go. its clever too and....well....its just brilliant.

i can't think of any downsides really, except maybe you should have a reward section at the end of something, like a bonus game.

god that was great game lol

was fun on the starting...

...but it gets boring later (and music...) .

i like...

made me use my brain. good puzzle game. and, good for memory. just the right amount of frustratingness. this games takes MOTAvation.

RatherRandomReality responds:

MOTAvation. I like that. It's gotta be the ultimate oxymoron.

too repetitive, but still good

best has been under 15 minutes (from start to finish on playthrough 2)

good game but its way to easy due to lack of randomness...

maybe you can do that in the next game, make the challenges randomized...

the person who did soul core i can help you with that...i think. when i played that game it had a random feature that made the game less repetitive.

unfortunatly i forgot who made it, so i cant give you a name. sorry...the game title should put you in the right direction though.

8/10 make another sequal that has some randomness to it.

RatherRandomReality responds:

I agree. Some levels are actually randomized, but only a few. My first intention was to make more levels randomly generated. Then I figured out that if I did, people will get even more frustrated because it turns you back a few levels and they are different, so progress would have been really hard to make. Many levels are about figuring out the trick and randomizing these would not bring anything more exciting to the game I think.
Anyway, thanks for the suggestions. I'll take a look at the game you mentioned.
