I haven't played a good top down shooter in a long time. This one filled the void pretty well. From the shooting (which is great cos it's automatic instead of holding on smashing a key) to all the upgrades and to the huge number of enemy types unique bosses and the different specs of each ship. The background was boring, but understandable because when the boss warps in with the bullets it flings at you in hopes that it hits you. But with every shooter.. there's always a gap in which to sneak through and keep spamming bunches of your own lasers at them. The last stage is way too long though... even for final stage ideals. There just wasn't enough enemies to fill the void. Overall a great game.

Keep the recovery upgrade it can save your life.
