I'd love it if you could see the dad's health, but I suppose it added to the struggle of it. The cleaver didn't always hit, so you could spam hits but end up with only a few. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the second stage a whole lot.
I can't overlook the fact that you said in the description that this project was your first of many things, so this being a starting point of many things is actually a good thing. You know how to do a lot, and it's clear that you'll be able to grow a lot (and already have, considering the time that has passed).

Better the comp, more horrible the game.
The unblockable "Zombie Fury" attack is a real death dealer, on top of the fact that the knife hits are seemingly random and so is the spammable "spin attack".
