Reviews for "Tywo At Large Ep. #3"

Gorgeous animation

I just about shat a brick when I saw this on the front page - I immediately recognized Tywo and I was ecstatic to see your work featured here. I have not yet watched the other two episodes, but this one was bloody awesome. I love the detail, and the animation and voice-overs are beautiful. I'm totally excited for you that this got featured - it definitely deserved to be.

And in case you're scratching your head at who I am, I went to Sayre when you were just starting there, I believe. I saw you in the newspaper forever ago - that was pretty fuckin' sweet too. You probably don't remember me considering it's been no less than eleventy billion years since I stopped by the high school, but it's all good.

Seriously -- congrats on the web fame, dude.

Pixmintro responds:

Of course I remember you! You were seriously one of the people that got me on Flash in the first place and I totally thank you for it! :D Just have to say this was a happy surprise!

Very good, needs a little more work

Overall, I was very impressed with the submission. The animation was smooth, and the lines were crisp, and I loved the style of it all.

First off: ground rules. I am not saying "bad, bad, bad". I am suggesting ways to improve.

From my point of view, the style has the aspects of Family Guy, Simpsons and (I have to say) the Fairly Oddparents. It's unique.

However, the animation was set back at times, and the facial expressions didn't always match with what the character was saying and his/her tone of voice. The sound effects were also very hard to hear at times, and sometimes not.

Going on, my sense of humor might be belayed.. but sometimes it felt like either the scriptwriter tried too hard, or the jokes weren't good enough.

That is really all. The ending was great, especially the dramatic fall to landing on a car and running off. And I couldn't help but think of Tourette's Guy when staring at the principal in his neck-brace.

(I have never toyed much with Flash myself, and I understand these kinds of animations take a hell of a lot of time and effort. In that, I admire your guys' abilities to create, as well as any other Flash artists.)

Good job. I'm going to favorite your guys' account.

Keep animating.

Pixmintro responds:

Thanks, you make it sound like more than one person worked on this thing. :P I never even thought of Tourette's Guy when making that but you're ABSOLUTELY right, I busted out laughing as I read that. I'm still experimenting with the best delivery from jokes and of course some are gonna be a swing and a miss, especially when you're watching the same jokes repeated over and over again for about 6 months. I'll try harder next time but I'm totally glad you enjoyed it.

this is great!

The most underated series on newgrounds dude i mean c'mon people this might be one of the best flashes on hear!

See'ya on monday!

Work of art. It well thought out in just about every aspect. The only think I could recommend is beef up the voice acting and characterization. Possibly a little work on de-fogging the story a bit.

Pixmintro responds:

Okay, yeah, I'm still trying to learn how to cram a story into 10 minutes. All the episodes I wrote for the characters were about 25 minutes and I don't dare try making those. Thanks. :)

Awesome!!!

That was AWESOME!! One of the top 10's on my list!!!

Pixmintro responds:

Thanks, better than seeing people favorite my movies and have them be 390th on their list. :)
