Reviews for "Meat Boy"

Great work

I love the design and the ability to actually tell a story in a flash game, props guy.

First Game in my Favorites

This was FUN! I didn't play many levels, but I know I will keep coming back to it because of the tight control and good use of physics. I thoroughly enjoyed the unique style of his blood splattering all over the walls as he hops around with a satisfying splat on each impact. The wall jumping is freakin sweet. I also noticed the nice use of "band-aids" and unlockables to add replayability. The professional look and feel put your flash in my favorites. I'm going to work at beating this sucker and will look forward to your future projects.

Graphics/Animation: 9/10
Sound: 10/10 (splat)
Level Design: 10/10
Controls: 10/10
Gameplay/Fun: 10/10

Overall: 10/10

By the way, I haven't tried Flashjoystick before, but another great program is called "Pinnacle Game Profiler" for people that want to map their own 360 controllers to their keyboard. It's great for all kinds of gaming. Just another suggestion, though I'm sure the Flashjoystick works great too as it is premapped with your file :-)

Platforming at its Finest

Easily the best platforming game on newgrounds. Love the slick controls, the retro visuals, and for some reason that really funky blood effect.

ARGH >=(

This game pisses me off to such a fucking extent that i want to pound my keyboard into the ground till it is no more..

but it's VERY VERY addicting...and it was fun so here's your 10

Meat is a metaphor, right?

I remember back in the day when I used to play Perfect Dark for the N64, and when I just felt like slaughtering some mindless slaves, I go up against 16 enemies on the Meat difficulty.

I feel like one of those enemies now.

Brutally challenging, but fun at the same time. The blocky grapics give it the feel of an old timey game, but the splash of blood when you die is just satisfying. Good job.
