Reviews for "Warlords: Heroes"

bad

it was fun at first but then it got way to hard

Vroom.

The engine sucks. That's where most of your problems are.
There's a lot of things you can do when swinging a weapon, MOVE being one of them. You can also block and move at the same time.

In this game, you could buy magic armor and items, but not weapons? So basically, you're stuck with the random weapon that does anywhere from 5 hits to kill to 1 hit kill. Once again, the engine.

Jumping was horrible, as was with Achilles. You'd jump, then not fall for a good long time.

This game frustrates me pretty fiercely, because your damage is random, the damage you take is unproportional to the level and the monsters within, you gained more gold in the level than you did for beating it, once you bought all equipment, you never needed gold... it just piled up. The art wasn't even applaudable and the game was still laggy.

I don't know how this flash got to the front page. but I've seen artwork better put together in my toilet bowl.

Try again and make your own engine or give up. I don't care.

Unbalanced, repetitive and ridiculously hard

The fact that you can only bring two hirelings with you and that ~enemies have more health than you or your hirelings~ is ridiculously stupid, and makes this game almost impossible to beat at later levels. There's no way you can get past a "hard" difficulty stage without dying several times; hell you'll be lucky if you even get past ANY "hard" stages. Enemies seem to stagger only half the time in these stages, swarm you from both sides, kill hirelings in a matter of seconds (100+ gold wasted just like that), and you end up dying a few seconds later. Since there's no way to defend in these situations (because enemy kicks/attacks go through your defense), you just basically wait for your inevitable death (NO YOU CANNOT JUMP OVER THEM, the moment you try to jump and get hit, the animation resets). Also, you can only attack one enemy at a time even though they're completely stacked together, HOW STUPID IS THAT? How in the world can you possibly defeat anything with 3-4 spears/swords swinging at you causing you to flinch every single time?
Conclusion: game is way too easy in the beginning (sometimes you end level with perfect health), and WAY too hard near the end. DON'T EVEN BOTHER TRYING ANY "hard" difficulty stages; they're almost impossible to beat.
Suggestions:
- Make different difficulty settings?
- Make different weapons?
- Allow rare health potions to drop?
- Special storyline henchmen should be able to heal after each level, kind of obvious?
- Increase the amount of henchmen you can get and also increase the cost?
- Make henchmen LESS STUPID~ mages should attack ranged attackers, this can't get more obvious~ mages following a group of swordsmen around and getting killed in two seconds without you being able to stop it is just stupid
- Make different input methods for different moves instead of waiting for them to randomly happen!!!
- Make the cheat menu available in the beginning ffs, who needs it after you beat all four episodes? You're probably a gaming champion after you beat all four anyways
Overall it was fun in the beginning, but got tedious in the end that you just simply can't beat it.

DJStatika responds:

"Special storyline henchmen should be able to heal after each level, kind of obvious?"

All henchmen get their health back if they survive the level.

Thanks for playing

words wont explain this game....

WAY TOO HARD

Difficulty difference between easy and hard is too much to bear, even with ALL the upgrades and lots of practice. The game was not TESTED ENOUGH.
