Only time will tell
Only time will tell if what Bush did during his presidency caused more problems, or averted issues that could have been much, much worse. It's interesting when we look back at presidencies 10, 20, 30+ years ago, and realize what decisions they had to face. And the decision isn't always "pick the best option", but more like "pick the least crappiest". All kinds of intangible factors play in and you need a crystal ball sometimes in order to figure out what'll work. However, with new folks coming in ... they'll have some big things to cleanup. Obama is a solid leader, but I question his policies. McCain's an old fart, and I question his loyalties. So, yeah ... "Oh God, we're screwed." We say that before/after every election, though. The countries still here, though. If you listen to the media, you'd think our whole society would collapse tomorrow morning. And the idiots who do listen to the media and act upon it out of fear help make media predictions a self-perpetuating prophecy.
