Reviews for "The Free Culture Game"

Overall, good

My biggest problem was the dodgy controls. Everything else was great and very interesting.

sorta

This game's message is very clear but I play for the action not the message :P not!! It's just that the actiony part isn't really there for me.

meh

interesting game, but that gets lost in the absolutely stupid controls, or should i say lack thereof. you barely dictate where the ideas go, and the closest i came to winning was actively letting them become consumers.

so overall, meh.

Badly made point or ingeniously hidden message?

So I played this game yesterday, thought it was alright, didn't bother to comment and got on with doing other stuff. But later on it popped into my head again, and something struck me. The player is the only one in the game that protects ideas AT ALL. In fact most of what the player does in this game is actively supply consumer demand and greedily protect their ideas from the people in the outer circle, who want to steal your ideas and share them amongst themselves, and you convert consumers to your way of thinking not by giving them ideas, but by depriving them of receiving input so that coming to you is their only option. Maybe I'm over-thinking this, but it seems to me that this is a game where you play as one of the greedy, fat corporations.

So- Badly illustrated point or ingeniously hidden message? I can't tell.

NICE

It's difficuly to fight against the system, though...!:)
And hooray mediterranean programming, yeah
