Reviews for "-= Smolder =-"

This song right here.. oh mah goodness.

This is incredible. It's got that mild 8-bit sound, a crisp snare, punchy kick.. and this low ass bass that you just bob your head to. This song is pure gold.

However I'm not all shits and giggles here. I feel that the song was slightly repetitive. I would have liked to see more drum rolls and fills, not just stutter steps and cuts. More pitch changes and maybe even a vocal sample saying "These motherfuckers can't even catch this! I'm fire, they smolder like burnt matches!"

You know, just, something; ANYTHING to make the song change it up a bit. Even a change in swing tempo as xKore did in his song 'Magnum'. I guess what I'm asking for is a tad more technicality in your songs. Something that makes me go "Holy shit, I wanna skip back and listen to that bit again!" when I listen to it.

But at any rate, this song is definitely some good shit. Keep it up my man!

TheBiocide responds:

Hey dude! Thanks a lot, I appreciate the in-depth review. I've suddenly been getting a bit more of those lately and it's awesome.

I know exactly what you mean too. I definitely feel the same way about the song. This one had a very different format than what I'm used to and I was relying on one bassline to do most of the work. Which has been done before, and well, I just haven't really gotten the hang of it, unfortunately :/

In fact, I had this one on the back-burner or a while. Because for the longest time I didn't know what the hell to do with it after the drop. Still, more of what you had suggested could've definitely helped this one out. Thanks!

And thanks for the review overall, man. I'm glad you liked it for the most part, and now, I know what to do the next time I get stuck on a song like this ;)

I love you.

Why aren't you famous yet.

On a side note those bitcrusher sweeps (at least i'm assuming that's what they are) are delicious. Great idea!

TheBiocide responds:

You sir, flatter the fuck out of me. Hahaha, thanks dude, and I'm not sure which sweeps you're talking about exactly. I'm guessing you mean the ones before the drops, and you're close, it's a reverbed synth I made with Massive ;)

-=awesomely original=-

This was a nice change from the usual you pump out, it is really good to both your fans, and yourself to keep new things out there. You fans will grow old of you when your stuff is the same bland thing over and over (not saying you're bland!!) we want something new once in a while to remind us why you are our favorite.

This song had a great mix of effects, and a nice crisp kick. You rank among the gods, a guitar player says it takes no skill to make computer generated music, I tell them they have not the skill, dedication, and imagination to ever come up with the things these people do. you are a god among demigod's it is your duty as my favorite Dub artist to keep it real, and keep it fresh.

TheBiocide responds:

Well damn, those are quite the compliments! Thanks my friend. I'm mostly just glad you guys are really digging the new stuff :)

I really appreciate the support. Keep checking back too, man. I've got plenty on the way.

Thanks dude, I'm glad you come back every now and then to check up on things :)

Awesome

What can i say, i love dubstep !! :DDD

But the whole song sounds more like a simple electro, for a dubstep, you should made it faster. And the disturbance at the beginning and the end doesn't quite fell right.

But it's still an awesome tune, keep it up!

TheBiocide responds:

Thanks dude! Glad you liked it :)

But to be honest, I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "simple electro". I saw this as your pretty general, wobbly, Dubstep overall. And I think the song doesn't need to necessarily be faster, it's the normal speed of most Dubstep songs out there, (140 bpm) I just think the lack of hi hats and percs make it sound slower than usual ;)

Still, thanks a lot for the review and the 10, man! I always appreciate it!
