Good, but could have easily been better
For the most part, the game was good.
There are, however, a few suggestions I'll offer:
First, the music can really add or take away from any game, especially in racing games. If the music is slow and whimsical the game feels a lot less exciting than it would if the music were faster and more intense.
Second, the voice (countdown, getting items/hurt) was really annoying. Furthermore, since it was vapid, it further drained excitement from the game. The game would have been better without it.
Finally, the character moves too slowly. Speeding up the game could make it more exciting. At least making it look like the character is moving faster would be nice (running).
And a quick way to quit the race if you mess up would be good, too.
Nice effort, you appear to have the talent to make really great games.
