You guys are heroes. Where did you first learn to code like this? I need resources because i want to learn how to code actionscript rather then just following tutorials like this all the time (although these tutorials do give me a good base on actionscript).

Trial and error, just keep on trying out new things that come to mind, its not always about the code, but about how you want to make something work, using your own style.
Then just keep building on what you know.

It helps, but...
I think you made some errors in the ActionScript.
For example, the "Proper Movement" codes are missing several onClipEvent(load) that I had to put in to make it work. Also, the ActionScript for that section doesn't work for me.
I'm using ActionScript 1.0, so it might just be me, but...
