Flawed, Let-Down
Congratulations. You've managed to rip out almost everything that made the original game a classic and replace it with turd. The matchstick people looks like red-faced retards and irritatingly break into pieces when they collide with any form of stage obstacle, save the walls for some arbitrary reason. The 'Next Level' button, something I hoped would be improved (as to not waste my precious ragdolls by clicking a pixel off where I was supposed to) has instead been made even smaller and jumps around the level unnessecarily.
The level design is uninspired, and the first few levels are an insult - while a learning curve is desirable the curve needs to atleast rise a little in the first few levels, rather than staying boringly still before jumping like it found a spider under it's (grammar nazis: its) toilet seat.
The new graphics add nothing to the game. The matchstick appendages are a nice touch, but the new background, cursor etc make the screen too active and garish. The black-and-white style was something I appreciate before the game changed like it had been overrided by an overly-ambitious gaming-illiterate ponce.
Ragdoll Cannon 2 has made me look back charitably upon Ragdoll Cannon 1.5. Perhaps more of the same is the best route you can go with this series - though if you ever attempt another game, I suggest reverting to the classic pen-and-paper style, giving a good think to the game design of your learning curve. You can make some interesting puzzles - make sure that is what a gamer remembers.
