Flawless win. I'm not the easiest critic when it comes to shooters, but wholy shit. You managed to add DEPTH to uncanned whoopass. Kudos to you, and honestly hoping you can take this game beyond newgrounds (say Live Arcade or DS title)

Found a bug

If you kill the final boss on the first level (arctic) with the lightning, the weapon will continue to fire at a blank point in space. Other than that, awesome graphics and challenging!

Awsome

Loved this, origanal gameplay and cool upgradable weapons. Could have stood a sheild up grade though... Level 4 boss is near impossible too, at least two tiers of circle guns /w missle launchers...

Fantastic shooter.

This is an awesome game, not because of it's graphics or gameplay, but how it handles them.

You're given a fairly large area to do as you wish, almost everything can be avoided, and it immerses you, you don't feel confined to a tiny box that doesn't move at all. It's a small thing, but still worth menioning.

The ships have personality. They're all unique both in style and function, and named them in my head not be what they do, (Shoots twice, shoots fast, shoots in a line,) but by the way they look. I'm not sure how you did it, and it's also a small thing, but still worth mentioning.

The weapons and leveling system is diverse, which is not uncommon, but I've rarely seen games that upgrade by use, a simple concept, but it works well.

The shield bluntly asks you "Do you want to dive into those tightly packed bullets for a quick and frequent EMP charge, or use it when you're cornered and play it safe? It fits into any playstyle, and charging up the EMP gives you something to do when shooting gets a bit repetitive. Great concept.

What I really love is the checkpoint system. There is no penalty for death. Probably the most frustrating part of any shooter is dying, you lose everything and are left with a tiny laser in the middle of a leve 10 boss fight. All you get i pushed back in the mission, with all your weapons, almost full shields, and a lone upgrade ship. The checkpoint system is like the mother, coddling the player and cooing soft reasurances while filling up their health bar. It doesn't get frustrating, but still gets the job done, if you're not good, you just get pushed back until you get it right.

This is one of a few games I'm going to play again after trying, using all the weapons is quite fun and adds alot of replay value. The only real criticism I can give it is that I'll never be able to play some generic "You die and lose everything" shooter and enjoy it again.
