Best Flash platforming shooter
Most side-scrolling platforming flash shooters are pointless because there's no way to take cover or avoid the bullets, which means you just stand there pointing your gun at the heads of various foes as you absorb damage and jump a lot to make yourself slightly harder to hit.
This is the only one that does not follow that rule and this makes it the best side-scrolling platforming shooter that I have ever played.
There are two flaws: the first flaw being that the foes can shoot through crates and boxes and you can't. I suppose this keeps the enemies from destroying boxes that you wanted to save for other purposes but come on. The other problem is the lives: they serve no purpose aside from ticking you off.
That aside: dodging and firing and watching the ragdolls fly has never been more fun. There are only five weapons in the game and this may annoy some people but I liked it: It keeps things simple and fun. It's better than thing thing where you got about 42 different machine guns and you can't keep track of which one you should be using.
And then the levels, Oh the beautiful levels. I pray to see levels as sprawling and beautiful in another flash some day. From blasting the demented monkey-robot-skeleton thing on a speeding train in level 3 to climbing that tower in level 2 to riding the missile in level five: this is the best level design I have scene in a long time. I love the way the mix cartoonish characters with levels that looked like they were entirely composed from photoshoped photos of mountains, snowballs and steel.
In short this game is totally worth your time play it now. I'm going to go back to it myself I still haven't beat the missile level. It will be worth every nanosecond of your time.
