Reviews for "Wild Cat"

Oh wow

That was amazing

brysew responds:

Thanks, Fion!

Simply great!

Congratulations on your first long movie! I think the voice acting and artwork are VERY smooth! It must have been a lot of work, but the results are magnificent!

Your English translation (including the subtitles) are not very good, though: I think it is a too litteral translation from Russian, but I cannot be sure since I do not understand Russian. However, everyone should be able to understand what you mean and most of the time, the poor English is just very funny, actually ADDING to the joy of watching!

Therefore I give you 10 out of 10. I just hope you are kinder to cats in real life than that Sasha dude in your movie ;-)

It would be great to see more long movies from you in future!

brysew responds:

Thanks! In difference from Sasha I kind with cats. Did not expect that translate will be so bad...

Another Excellent Roman Shabanov Cartoon

I first saw this producer's work in "Terminator: Madness" and today I decided to go through every work he's produced at NG. Anyways, "Wild Cat" is a great script, very typical unlikely victor story, but it's special. The symbolism is very rich. *SPOILERS* For instance, the old man proves exceedingly virile and his cane obviously derails the van. And then at the outset of the final battle, the leaf falling in the water is symbolic that the cat will absolutely win. The cat's head bashed against the wall and the trash bin symbolise the cat's punishment for being against its own nature when it used the manmade wooden box for a weapon. Many layers of story are well told in the rich symbolism. Beside the symbolism, the dialogue is immensely entertaining. The broken English serves as what might be unwitting or purposeful humor, who knows which is what makes it funny. Not that poor English skills are humorous intentionally, but unfortunate turns of phrase that result are often unintentionally humorous, such as: "he does not shit on everything / anywhere ! (?)"; "Noooooooooooo!" There is more than toilet humor at play. Anyways, I recommend viewing everything made by the producer.

Loved it

That was great, story was pretty interesting, dialogue was quite funny & didn't look like it had been drawn in ms paint. Also, it lasted a few mins. Well done, I couldn't do anything like this.

I am glad, that was pleasant to you!
