Reviews for "Break Out Army"

screen is way to small

when you start the game you'll lose about 2 lives because the ball is so fast it's already to the right and out of reach so it goes, and then it's just too small, that's the main problem

lemmingomar responds:

how many speed you suggest? now is at 10 speed

good por a first game

very well... I know u can do better than that you just wanted to submit this game so good luck on this
Xavi: i love this games

lemmingomar responds:

thanks xavi...o.o

What can I say?

There isn't much new, the menu layout is a bit simple, there are annoying sound glitches, it's hard to start without losing a life instantly (The player should launch the ball), and the paddle movement is off-center in Survival. Plus, can anything be done about the glitch where the ball sticks to the paddle? Maybe have the boss battles in the main game, more block types, more creative layouts, etc.? Try resubmitting after a bit more work, especially with the game dealing the ball to you. I can't get past level 2 because of it!

Forgot to mention... the paddle's a bit too slow, and the ball gets caught in endless loops. I'd like to see moving blocks in Breakout...

Well, back to trying to beat level 2 without getting caught in a loop and having to sacrifice a life and lose the rest.

lemmingomar responds:

thanks i will keep on mind

One Suggestion

When you first start a level, the ball flies pretty quickly to the left or the right, and there's no way to know which way it will go. I ended up losing two lives before I ever even got the ball bouncing. You might either want to reduce the initial speed of the ball, or make it head straight for the paddle when it launches.

Also, I think there's something wrong with the scoring system in boss mode. It always shows my score as 10101010101010 or something like that.

On the bright side, once I got going, it was actually very fun.

lemmingomar responds:

oh...thats true thanks i will repair that glitch

Good start

This game has the breakout feel but needs some work. I'm not sure if it was a bug but it seems as though the timing or somethings off because more than once I had to hurry to the ball, and even though I reached it, it would pass right through my paddle...thing.

Also, I'm not sure why it showed up small on my screen, but it was almost impossible to guess which way the ball was going to get that first hit. You should go with the classic way, with the ball attached to the paddle and you press a button to launch that way you're prepared and it doesn't just start.

All in all decent game and good first attempt. Keep trying

lemmingomar responds:

thanks but it will take tame to launch the ball
