Hmmm... not bad.
However It's broken in some aspects it doesn't really work in some places. I found myself running through walls at certain points. it was a good attempt at recreating the sonic engine but it wasn't a great attepmt. it still need alot of debugging and also why is it screen to screen it would play way better as a side scroller.

its simple and like the orignal sonic games.
Not a bad start.
You did a fair job duplicating a Sonic game. Just gotta smooth things up, make the game screen larger while having the view actually fit. Try looking for a V-Cam for something that would help fix both problems.
Also, try to figure the script for ramps and jumps. You did fairly well with the rolling down hills, so I'm sure you could do it.
Heh, while doing a little Newgrounds portal Night-watch it's nice to see something that's not openly crap.
First Flash, you say?
Damn, if this is the first Flash you've ever made... Whoa. I've seen a hundred "first Flashes" here, but this has to be one of the best.
Of course, it was your first, so it was imperfect in some ways (missing a lot of elements of the usual Sonic games, such as music, a lot of sound effects, Rings, a life counter, Game Over, etc.), but by the looks of it, it was a version 0.5, which usually means a demo. I'd love to see a completed version of this when you've improved a bit.
