Yes, it's a demo. But it is a superb one at that.
The graphics are good and the "storyline" is enough to get you playing again and again. Each player's mannerisms add something to each hand, the voices and background music are just about spot on and, as far as poker games go, it's very good (although it's a bit hard to successfully bluff).
Definitely deserving of Front Page.
And to those who criticise it for being a demo - have a look at Youda's price. It's hardly breaking the bank if you want the full game and there's enough in the demo to get me hooked. I was intending on doing something next week, but my time just got filled up.
9 out of 10: -1 for being a demo (I'm a skinflint at heart too).
Wow I love the AI on this!
Having played player vs computer poker games on many an occasion, I can honestly say the AI on hard is spot on, almost like playing against real players. I've never seen an AI, which would be so tricky as to set traps. Love it how everyone has different styles of play, players go on tilts (when people go on gambling rages from losing big amounts of money) from bad beats, and everyone's not a call machine chasing every single card/draw. I've played Poker online for real money and play money for about 3 years now and I must say this is the closest to the real thing that I've ever seen before. Wonderful game.
