Reviews for "Sapphire Tears Magnetic Remix"

Great work.

This is a pretty cool song. Different and sort of ambient, but with a good melody. However, I reckon there is a little too much distortion.

As much as I like this, I don't think it is bad-arse enough for a boss level. Definitely good enough to get a spot in Symphonic Tower Defense and its contest, though.

Keep it up!

merlin responds:

I'm already working on a re-mastering to sort of soften the hard parts. Sadly I'm no audio technician, so It's maybe not going to turn out better than this mix, haha. I'm glad you like it, and took the time to review it! What a fun contest to take part of.

cool beanz

The song is great n' all, but what really won me over was your extreme dedication. You've broken the 6 million mark for patterns, a prestigious accomplishment achieved by only the mightiest music makers of Newgrounds. Don't even get me started on your AP5SA (Automations per 5 seconds of audio) rate. 7,035? I think the record previously stood at 7,021, so start contacting Guinness soon about getting into the record book.

When choosing a choir to make a trip to your house to record enough audio to cover up a sneeze, its important to consider the following things: Experience, notoriety, and budget. You really hit the nail on the head here. The Vienna Boys was an excellent compromise between awesome and too awesome.

There is much debate among audio experts as to what type of suit is best to wear while creating music. It's good to see that someone is still on board with Bach's theory of alligator skin speedos and gorgeous woman's wigs. The toothy grin was a risky bit of improvisation, although, with a name like "Sapphire Tears", its safe to say that it paid off in the end.

What a bold man you are. Bold, bold man. I wish you luck in the contest!

My friend. You truly grasp what I was trying to create.

Simply wow...

I want to start of by saying that this is completely amazing and that fully deserve to be in the tower defense game. I'm sure that if you do make it, you'll get to be one of the final difficult songs due to the intricacy of it.

Now onto actually song critique! Aw who am I kidding? This song is nothing less than complete awesomeness! You really boosted the quality and intensity of the song since I last heard it. I'm glad you added the things you did. It sounded very nice to begin with but you really made it far better somehow. The bass is deeper, the guitar is cleaner, the singing is more blended with the music and so on.

I like the ending that you added to it too. It ties the song together much better, giving it a much less abrupt finish. The whole song, while greatly fluctuating in intensities, flowed really well from beginning to end.

Another thing I really enjoyed was how different it sounded depending on the speakers that I used. I switched from mid sized speakers, to a mini speaker, to headphones, and even to a guitar amp and with each I could hear different sounds and subtleties. While the quality was drastically different with each, they all sounded equally amazing.

If I have any complaints, it's about the "sharpness" of the song. I keep wanting to turn the song up louder but when I do, it tends to stab my eardrums. Some things were just a little too high pitched or have a bad resonance with me or something like that.

Anyways, I wish you luck on winning the contest to get into the game. And as usual, I can't wait to hear your next masterpiece. Merlin is a wizarding name after all, so never stop working that musical magic of yours.

Your everloving fan,
~iHaruhi

I'm glad that you were able to get the perspective of the song as it progressed! I really do enjoy sharing my works in progress with you, and I'm sure in the future I'll be calling on you for advice again!

Gay Aids?

Those are the worst kind!

This game makes me want to kill things with defensive towers in a symphonic-esque flash game for some reason.

merlin responds:

If I told you you had a nice body, would you hold it against me?

Mind = BLOWN!

Wow, I really have no clue how to respond to just how awesome this was. :O The guitar was just fuckin' awesome, nice bass line, just all around ear-gasm! Seriously, you have got some serious talent! :)

Make more rock and heavy metal submissions please!

PS

I'm not even sure if this review can even do this submission any justice at all.
