Reviews for "Xiao Xiao No. 8"

Yes,Poor Xiao Xiao

Poor guy :(

Good but not great

It was an pretty great animation but I don't pretty much get it.

Cliffhanger...

This carries on right from where Xiao Xiao 7 ended, and ends itself with a big "To Be Continued" at the end. Unfortunately, this looks like the last of that particular series of movies as the rest of the Xiao Xiao series is not related to this.

It's a shame as this was a good episode, with some impressive looking visuals that was let down by its lack of resolution and mostly, its lack of action. Apart from the scene at the start and the scene where the man gets hit by the van, most of this entry was just driving. Long drawn out scenes of driving. And talking on the phone to set up an ambush. And then more driving. How fun.

This seems like it was more of a filler episode between the badassness of Xiao Xiao 7 and whatever was to follow in the sequel to this. It seems like a way of drawing out the story by moving locations after just having the Kingpin locked down. Thats why it doesn't work so well here with no followup to it - its actually mostly boring.

Come back from deepest darkest China and finish this series of movies! :D

It's not coming back, is it?

The only thing I regret about this is that the series seemed to end right there. The following flashes you made do not pick up on the story. Then again, maybe they are not supposed to. I would love for you to come back and show us these great cartoons again, given modern Flash technology! This was great because the animation was just so spectacular! For something with few colors, this seemed to be perfectly vibrant.

I liked the way the bullets made those little wavy things as they were flying. I never would have expected it to end that way, anti-climatically. It's still good action because you never really know when it's going to end. It's amazing how much depth you put into simple stick figures. Not one of your best, but still pretty sweet.
