Yeah you can die... wait around for a sec and see what happens. :)
The levels get much more intense later on and the doom gets quite hard to escape...

Very good game
I played this for probably five or six hours. I unlocked and completed all the speedruns except Planet D. I did the challenge mode on insane.
But I still can't find the Bronto egg. I'm on the verge of becoming an hero over this.
I digress. The game, I thought, was fantastic. As people said, the graphics could be better, but it wouldn't be pixeljam really if they were.
For a Flash game, it had incredible replay value and depth, better than 95% of flash games I'd say.

loving it but...
there is a secret.... only if u have the Wall-Be-Gone mode on this will work and only on hard or insane
theres a cave in a volcano that has a secret i forgot witch one but if u wiggle into it u goto a awesome secret called the secret dino masters =D and the games ends there but theres a portal to take u to paradise where theres no doom wall u can explore a island try it i did it was cool
