Reviews for "Dogfight: The Great War"

Simple, yet lacking.

Very simple game to just pick up and start playing, found it to be pretty easy. the graphics are nice, and the controls themselves are very easy to understand. Yet, while it is a pretty good game, It is very short with only 10 levels, and there are no kinds of upgrades available to the player. Another issue was I felt the difficulty didn't scale to well with the levels. New enemy types were added during the first few levels, but the way they fought became predictable after you got use to them (Considering there were only two enemy types in the game which really chased after you, the Aces and the normal planes) , I felt that they really didn't change the difficulty all that much.

Basically, I enjoy the fact that its a simple pick-up-and-play kind of game, yet it feels empty since it really doesnt have anything else to offer other than the gameplay (Which is only about 5-8 minutes long). This is not to say its a bad game, its just....empty, or the bare-bones minimum you could say.

Definitely not a bad game, but it's going to need a lot more than a one player mode (Or a two player mode for that matter) to get this plane off the ground.

ehh

mission 7 was the hardest like he said, u always run into the ground

not too original

there was a game like this on the old Intelevision console. You guys did a nice job updating graphics from the little blocks, and made game play a little more difficult. it does seem ridiculous that in level 7, an attack on a village with a squad of plains against you, only one plane would go in without support.

Not good

It is so hard to control the damn plane then the the other planes are so damn hard better at flying then u are evev if you nick the ground u crash it is not good.

very fun

fun but i do beleive the aircraft portrayed were just modeled after the ones in the movie "flyboys" and the only red fokker triplane during world war one belonged to the red baron! in this game all the generic enemys are red except for the "aces"
