I think of the whole thing as the character's soliloquy, and as such I don't think the voice must follow the music so closely. Try disconnecting your voice from being so in tune with each first beat, as I think that'll seem to make the way your speaking more fluid and more believable.
Your tone of voice is good for your content. I liked the tone a lot with the music. The animation isn't anything to oogle over, and yet still serves its purpose to support the metaphor which, to me, is more vitally important than for it to be amazing but distract us from the importance of the message.
Overall, I like the central idea of a metaphor, and titling it that, because it leaves the interpretation to us, the audience, to decide what it means to ourselves and I find an idea great when it can cause new ideas and interpretations to be born from it.
In short, your 'story' idea hits well, and I appreciate the contribution. Good luck to you with future animations.
A bit of a side note: I couldn't help but think of Floride when I saw the Fl, so I oddly began to have a sudden urge to brush my teeth. haha

Profound
When I found that my song was being used in a serious short, I was very pleased. However, I could only hope that the flash it appeared in would be half-decent. And you delivered well!
While the animation wasn't top notch, it was done much better than many of the first flash films put out by various users. But more important than the animation, I really enjoyed the message told. It was profound and thought provoking. (An excellent combination :P) It also seemed to flow with the music, though I wish I would have made the song longer and better suited for a flash such as this. :(
I was also impressed by the voicing. I don't know how many flashes I have viewed and simply cringed due to horrid voice acting. I thought you did a decent job, though.
Continue to hone your flash skills, and put out more work. If you ever need a song, tell me what your flash is about and I may be able to custom make it! Oh, and thanks again for using my music and getting my name out. :D

It was only because of your music that such an atmosphere was created. One of the few pleasant surprises I had while making this was the fact that two Loops of "Ambient Evening" was the finite perfect length for the entire movie!

I know I need to work more on my animation skills, I reckon I will probably do a few practise runs before my next submission, I'm glad you liked everything else though!
