Alright.
Only problem I really have with it is that the controls are a little loose. I seriously doubt you're supposed to glide and slide after you've let go of the directional button. Try to tighten up the controls; otherwise, it's good.

Decent
There are some problems....the ship fires too slowly, when you leave your ship without moving it it moves pointlessly and you could add some music..but for a first effort it is very good!

That's great for a first game, I think if you invested in a graphics tablet then you could make it even better, and maybe if you added some levels or a campiagn/co-op mode.
