Reviews for "The Octahedron"

i liked the art... the effects are pretty good...but could be used in a better story which needs to be interesting...octahedron?? nope not at all
it's long and it was boring most of the time... but you got the potential so try again

This is good, but it could be done exactly the same in about one quarter the time. The art was good, the music was good, the concept was good, the characters are good, the use of no speech is good, but the pacing is terrible! That is to say, it is about ten minutes longer than it should be. I kept waiting to see what new twist was worth the suspense-- and there is none. Watching this movie is mostly just waiting for something to happen!

Not bad, but needs work.

I agree with Screech With Grace, the pacing for this movie is all off. In addition to what Screech said, I would go on to say you need to work on direction as well. Some of the shots, like where the guy is floating down from the tree, would have been better if the camera had gone back to give a better sense of scope. Better yet would have just been a couple of quick shots of him floating, then watching him safely reach the ground. Watching him dangle in the air was pretty boring. Not every second needs to be shown for the audience to get the picture on what's going on.

great drawing, but very booring

Really good animation, but it was very dull

All the noise, noise, noise, NOISE!

Its nice, long, smooth, ...wow that just sounds wrong. Its a very well made flash.

Only problem is the childish sound effects. Kinda ruins it for me when hearing a high pitched sfx with classical music in the background; doesn't really match up. It also pulls me away from the story because I am now thinking about where I have heard these irritating sounds. And I don't want to remember that.
