I really enjoyed this. It's a solid game that kept me busy for quite some time. However, as with anything that's good, there's still some improvements that could improve this greatly.
I found the music somewhat repetitive, and as long as you are in a level, it repeats and repeats, which, when combined with my next issue, make for a negative playing experience. A way to change the music mid-game would be nice.
The pace was just way too slow. And jamming that meter as far as I could to the right, it still seemed very sluggish.
This is all I can say on the technical side of things, and now I'll just spout off some stuff that is more related to personal preference.
I found that the last level was actually easier than the level that comes directly before it. Going from watching 3 spawn points back to 2 was like being sent back a grade.
I also think this game would be much more entertaining if there were unit-specific upgrades that could be purchased during a level.
More traps would be fun.
(This may be intended but I'm not sure. But every so often, when a boulder trap is triggered, instead of rolling towards the target, it veers into the nearby wall while rolling, and vanishes.)
I suppose that's all I have to say. I had fun, and I wish you luck on any of your future projects.
