Like old-school Wizardry
I enjoyed the game a lot. It ate up all my free time! My only complaint is that i wish there were more portal scrolls. I had to throw away so many good items; having such a small stash lead me to spend lots of time managing inventory.
A very good game, missing something
This is a very good and playable RPG, with a simple and balanced fight system and many magical and special objects to collect. Also the map system is easy and has a very good classic RPG taste.
But fighting and looting becomes quite ripetitive after a while and an endless descent in just one dungeon kills your curiosity.
Why don't you add some quests? In the game there are some, but something more complex than "kill all the monsters of this level" would be more intresting.
Also why not adding a territory to explore (from dungeon to dungeon) or also a town or two? This would help you find something more than a portal scroll to an emporium. Mysteries to solve, real quests, commerce between towns. This game has the potential to be much more than an endless pit, please work on it.
Excellent, could use some tweaks
Very well done game overall. The simple interface, combined with the tactical details for combat and the need for using the Pass option to be able to recover a bit during combat (as you cannot heal between battles, only inside them) make it a very unusual but yet very good game. I would love to see a new version with the ability to go to town for commerce, be able to have a larger party of just 4 characters (the occasional NPC nonwithstanding). I really love this game.
Just a few problems
You really really need to put in a way to heal outside of combat besides potions and altars, and put in some way to get back to town to sell regularly versus waiting for some stupid scroll to drop randomly. Other than that, good game.
not very good. . .
It was boring and had very bad graphics. I personally like most rpgs but this just wasnt anything new and didnt even have a storyline. Im sorry, but you could do a lot better with this.
