Reviews for "The Last Stand 2"

hehe pistol go BAP BAP

Even when this game is so old, no AAA game can compare to this masterpiece and its series.

amazing game

This is substantially more difficult compared to its predecessor - you face running zombies right at the start, all your barricades have less health, repairs scale with your survivor count more slowly, your maximum survivor count goes from 6 down to 4, and while survivors no longer die from searching, they can be killed by zombies wielding weapons, and getting them back is a lot more difficult thanks to the luck-based searching system.

The best way to complete the game is to go through Whistler's Grove straight to Aspenwood. Skip Claysburg, the SMGs aren't good enough to go out of your way to get, and you're either wasting 5 days or missing out on the Shotgun, which is probably the best weapon to give to AI Survivors.

Pick Glendale, Whistler's Grove, and Aspenwood completely clean, and you should have enough supplies to effectively skip Jonestown and go straight to Union City. Really, spend as little time in Jonestown as humanly possible, unless you enjoy fighting swarms of runners and dogs from behind a barricade that falls down when the zombies sneeze on it.

The AI survivors are very effective with slow-firing weapons like the shotguns and the Revolver, since they fire them quicker than you can and seem to have a set amount of time between firing their weapons anyway, making fast-reloading weapons a bit of a waste on them. The exception to this is the Hunting Rifle - despite a nerf to its reload speed, it's still a very strong weapon and giving it to an AI Survivor is a big waste of its firepower.

a good nostalgic zombie killing game from the "good old days"
