Reviews for "EF - WIP (GS vs TI remix)"

Cool Beat!

The drums here sound Great, the intro was cool as FUUUuu, and the break @ 1:45 Was pretty sick.

Your bass samples however are reallyyy Muddyyyyy x.x

You Definitely have the Ferocious sounds that you are looking for, but some side-chaining and proper mixing could really do this mix some good! ><
some parts of this really kill the ears in a bad way, so I would definitely suggest cleaning this up if you plan to play it live eventually x.x

After some moar editing however, I could definitely see this song doing very well!

Can't say I'm impressed, at all.

It actually is a good song, but the majority of it is sampled from the original, and to tell you the truth, I'm not sure If I can hear anything original in this track, since it's sampled, from the plucks to the basses.

I wouldn't classify this as a remake either, it just needs that little original touch that would make it sound that much better.

The only thing I can't recognize from the original is the 4-step beat, it gave it that little Skrillex feel, which every producer wants to make nowadays :P

Every now and then you introduced a new set of bars with a set of layered crashes, those were probably the worst thing I ever had to endure in my life, It's like you layered the entire Vengeance Crash folder, lower the volume and maybe add some reverb and delay.

What I'd also do to fix this is maybe add a break to it, it would sound really cool if it built up to something and then stop all of a sudden, leaving the listener hearing the bare minimum, and everything slowly starts filtering from a lowpass, kinda like the break in deadmau5 - Hey Baby [Instrumental]. Then add a breakbeat and bob's your uncle, Techno! :P

Anyway, I understand that you're a newcomer here but sampling from the entire song is frowned upon, and you'd get banned if this was your first submission.

It's good, it's just missing that original flare.

Oddly enough I had the original FLP file and edited the wubs, added the breakdown, and TIMarbury added the glitch effects, etc. The only thing I didn't touch was the main synth.

And the 4-on-the-floor beat was in the original...

Hmm.

The intro up until 0:43 was really repetitive and not overly good. After that, the wobbles were random AND didn't have much variation, quite a feat. The beat was definitely dubstep-y. I liked the chording from 1:15 onward, didn't hear it much before. What pad did you use for it? From 1:44 to 1:58, the wobbles seemed off-key. I still hear the background that was in the intro, it hasn't gone away at all, makes it seem REALLY repetitive. The outro wasn't that interesting, and it basically just stopped. Nothing very good there.

The drops were cool, though the one at 0:43 seemed to miss a beat or something.

I don't think there's that much original here other than the wobbles, other than that it's the same thing the whole time. Even the wobbles were repetitive, which wasn't that nice to hear.

Overall, it's really repetitive and pretty boring. I didn't like it that much in the end, unfortunately. If I were you, I'd bring it into a different key or something, add a tune rather than just muddy, loud, obnoxious wobble bass. And no. I don't like dubstep mud basses in many songs, in case you haven't figured that out. Here, it just doesn't work...
