Reviews for "Le Parkour Movements"

woot

Decent animation you have here, but many thanks for using my song =]

Chase and Cole Armitage . . .

. . . are freerunners, not traceurs. Sp4rdaHBD's "Vaults 102" has a more practical listing of PK techniques, along with their names. Most of the shots that they used are stillcam, also. I know Chase and Cole call all their shit parkour, but it that's just not what it is. Wikipedia the difference, and point it out somewhere. Serious practitioners are very particular about these things.

Anyway, your framework needs work, and so does your frame-by-frame. The smoothness is quite good considering, and I personally really like the way you use only black lines, with no background. It keeps the focus on the movement. As such, it is uber important to keep the motion smooth. I recognized every shot from Evolution, so your accuracy is up to par. You could have named each move instead of just giving it a number. All in all though, good video.

Here's Vaults 102, for your viewing/educational pleasure.

I'll try to find out more about this Vaults 102, and if I make other mavie about le parkour it will have better framerate.

Thanx for the video and all

Meh...

It was a fairly mediocre video about Parkour. I like the effort and the idea of bringing Parkour to Newgrounds (are there flash Parkour videos? I have no idea), but the outlining left a lot to be desired. My advice is to use an entire video of Parkour (SCPK? Lol you most likely don't know what that means but a few friends of mine started up a team). But isn't it a little hard to animate Parkour? It's a fast-paced sport for sure. But still...yea I've basically said everything. PM me if you want to find out about SCPK.

Toady1104 responds:

SCPK = South Coast Parkour (I love google)

And, like said before, I choosed only the moves whitout camera moving on the movie, so it's a little weak le parkour.
And yep, it's very hard to animate, need 12 draws to make 1 sec, and it whit a medium framerate.

Meh.

5, 7, and 10-14 are arguably tricking moves, and not essentially Parkour by any stretch.

BUT, that aside I'm only going to review the flash itself, which was pretty cool, only complaint is having a scene select menu, and to make the frame by frame a bit smoother.

Toady1104 responds:

I know some scenes arent totally le parkour, but was the "camera-moving" scenes are impossible to do (at least to me)

About the scene select, I think than that coud be cool too, but earch scene is like 1-5 seconds, so only will work if I do loops and I think than don't will be good.

ps: sorry if I'm saying something wrong on the responses, I'm brazilian

¬¬"

this isn't even le parkour,
this is free run,3run,everything
but not le parkour....
But it's a nice video after all =D

Toady1104 responds:

So, why the the score 3?

btw, I searshed Le Parkour to find the video.
