Reviews for "A Skaters Day Out"

Right

Okay so the animation was alright only thing annoying me is how you make you skater ollie there's no pop no bent leg's hell the board does'nt have a nose or tail <_< everything was great but the skateboard/skater need's work on :D.

Not that bad

It was pretty good except it was just him skating around. Also he is pretty much just standing there and doesnt even move. Also the graphics need some work. Still pretty good

Pointers

A couple of pointers on movement: When he's jumping, watch where the transformation point is. when he crouches before jumping, it should be touching the ground. When he goes up and down the ramp it should be closer to the back of the board, so try to edit the skater so the point is somewhere back there.

Curves such as jumping the dog are a big issue with any tween. Just mess with it and scrub as best you can. Hav you considered putting the skater on an invisible path?

Well..

Not the best.
But it the graphics were nice.
Try to animate the figure, don't ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever use only tweens.
Yea, Krinkels did that too, he got famous, but like this it sucked. No offense.

Try to make more realistic physics.
A skater jumping over a dog and staying in the air for 8 seconds is not realistic.

Also add skater movements:
Let him bend his knees before he jumps, let him bend his knees when he hits the ground again.

And add cool effects and improve current one.
Like sparks coming from his weels or something like that.
You should take a tutorial special effects.
That blood wasn't the best.

But as i said, the graphics were nice, so try to improve one the above things and you'll get a 10/10 5/5 from me.

Needs more practice

It's not really terrible, you are going the right way. There are a few things you should keep in mind. The main character needs more animations. I noticed that his arms were moving and his eyes but that was practically everything. I suggest drawing his body (excluding the head) and animate from standing to crouching on the board and you can pick whatever frame of the animation you want during the whole sequence. It would be more fun if he would crouch a bit, trying to recover his balance after he has landed an ollie. The next thing would be the head, it can keep multiple expressions on his face depending on what is happening on the situation. He needs to dodge a dog, so he might look a bit afraid of hitting the dog. But maybe look exited when he is still going upwards in the last jump.
