Reviews for "Mad Vlad II: Revamped"

Great game

it took me five hours to complete the game + get all the gems and all I got was.. well u know

Oh and SephVal,

The tip refers to the library IN the castle, the one with the floating shelves, NOT the library which u read the books

there are a few bugs here n there such as respawning and dying instantly
The final boss disappears (chickening out?)
and wads wif the bottles falling from the sky? They don't seem to serve a purpose

Random

its random and boring, its a waste of time

Excellent Game

There are a few glitches in the game mostly with dieing. Sometimes after this dreary event... The level would go glitchy. Sometimes you are not visible although this can be solved with that reset screen. The biggest problem is in the darkness because I got stuck in that hallway with that movable light. I died and the block was GONE! I was stuck forever...

ALSO!!! You need to change the location of the final secret! IT IS NOT IN THE LIBRARY! DO NOT LISTEN TO THE BOOK! It is with the final boss...

PS: Please give a better reward in the final cave.

I liked it!

Well, it was fun. I just wish that there were some upgrades. Like, maybe a better weapon? A more visible one?

Also, on the level where you first fight a lawyer, he wasn't there at all. I only saw a lifebar. Even though I didn't kill him yet, I was able to walk through the door. I updated by Flash to the latest one before I went through this level. You should fix this bug.

Finally finished

Okay, I finished it--from beginning to end. It started out funny. I started by thinking the level design was good and smart. I also started thinking the game was fun to play. But after about 15 minutes, the gameplay became stagnate. I started paying more attention to how awful the character design is and how bad the cut scenes are. The music was mostly good the whole wau through, though. I liked how the gameplay seemed more...complicated in the beginning with finding items and talking to people, but after that it was just juping around, and after your internet connection starts slowing down, it gets infuriating to watch the character jump and spin in slow motion.

I played the whole thing because I was really bored. That's the only reason. I kept waiting for it to get different and better, but it remained the same old drawn-out thing with mind-numbing jumping around and ugly characters.

I would have given you a higher score if the game was MUCH shorter. I am sure this was not easy to make, and I admire your perseverance and complicated boss fights, but it was ultimately not any fun to play after a while. You need to spend more time on your characters and make the levels more than mindless platformers. Give Vlad a different attack, too, or at least a more masculine finishing stance. Also, it didn't seem right to me for Vlad to have his hands behind his back in the cut scenes like he was on a Sunday walk--he's trying reclaim his power, isn't he? Finally, if you are going to have melodrama, at least draw the scenes (including the characters and effects) better.

The scripting was impressive.
