Eh...

This song is pretty poorly produced. Repetitive intro. Followed by an extremely hard clipping snare that stays the same pace throughout. The whole song seemed to have a little bit to much distortion. The bass was just plain annoying. Plus a dubstep beat never occurred once in this entire song. You've got your hands on an electro house track instead of a dubstep one. Though I did like 2:45. Though everything else was rather poor. Work on mastering. Other than that the vibes were good. Nice vocal clip btw.

GirlStep responds:

If the intro's too long, people bitch. If the intro's too short, people bitch. I can't please everyone.

The snare isn't clipping, it's just heavily distorted. For the first half it does stay in the same place; however, after the drop it changes up. I guess you didn't notice.

This isn't electro house. If anything it's "fidget house", however the closest genre to put that in is dubstep.

Read TIMarbury's review to see why it was mastered the way it was.

And that's all I have to say to you. Sorry you didn't enjoy it I guess.

Enjoyed working on this. :)

When i heard the WIP I knew there was a lot of good things in there that I loved and thought it would be a fun project. I tried to keep it as true to the original as possible with the entire structure of the track, which was cool, the electro house into the dubstep and back out. I think we did a good job keeping it true to that. The build/ drop is still my favorite part. Regarding soulblud's review, The intro is kinda dragged out but once 0:36 hits I think it a nice transition from a confusing intro. The drop was suppose to be rough and heavy with the filtering of the higher pitched synth cutting the bass in and out. Yes, I think i agree the wooble bass is pushed 2 far on the band compressor and when transitions happen it is obviously dropping out, but i loved the heaviness and any other way I mixed it, it was way to empty for the style of the track and didn't sound right. I really like how this track turned out compared to the WIP, it was a different approach than i'm use to so I learned some stuff, n thanks for calling me retardedly talented LMAO!

GirlStep responds:

Personally, I think we did great on the song. Of course some things could be changed and you could spend weeks tweaking this song; however, I think it's the shit as is. It was a pleasure working with you B)

Welll...

Personally, the intro is quite... lacking? Idk. i find the synth used for the entirety of up to 1:06 a bit on the annoying side. The attack to it is just awkward to me. The build to the drop (as in just the kicks) is a bit underwhelming, while the opposite goes for the drop. The synth you used in the drop overpowered the actual sound of the bass sometimes, and the rest of the time, the bass was just too raw and over powering. I think it still needs work on mastering, and perhaps adding and removing a synth here n' there. I give a 7 for the effort, but I'm not too fond of this piece. sorry if I'm coming off as a dick in this review.
