Reviews for "Armada Tanks"

Meh.

I felt this game was pretty mediocre. The music was great, but the controls were stiff and the graphics weren't particularly fancy. Normally that wouldn't be too bad, but not that many people charge twenty freaking dollars for a flash game (not to mention a flash games based on an old Nintendo game. You expect me to pay $20 for something that isn't even original. I can download REAL Nintendo games on the Wii for a fraction of what you're charging).
NewGrounds is not a store. If you are going to make games, that's fine, but don't expect us to pay $20 for some unoriginal game that's merely decent. If you want to make money with your flash, either spend more time on them, or put ads in them like any decent flash animator. $20 for this game is just ridiculous.

very borring

shooting fish in a barrel is harder than this. the only thing that changed was the number of tanks per level. only 1 tank per level would shoot me, too. that and the constant offer to download or buy the game really pissed me off. why would anyone pay for this?

Everyone, THIS IS A DEMO

I notoriously hate demos posted on NG. That's not what this site is for. Hell you guys even have a mochiad at the beginning. Get every penny you can for a game, right? Ha!

As far as the game itself goes, I think the design is fairly sound. The tank having to get to each space adds a twist for movement. The destructible levels made me feel a jolt of nostalgia for games like Centipede. Essentially, this felt like Boxhead with a tank and a more traditional flashgame upgrade system. I like both systems well enough.

For those who are considering buying a new game, realise this one does not have a lot of replay. It is polished to the point where it's fairly pretty (by 1999 2D standards) but it doesn't have a story, doesn't have alternate characters, nor multiple play modes or even multiplayer/online play.

To get the same experience you get here, and then some, go play some IndestructoTank and then chase it with some Boxhead. If you want the turn based upgrade system, just go find a random tower defense game and play that.

Yawn

That got boring after about a minute. Lame.

Okay

It was okay, but I didn't like it that much.
