I AM SO CONFUSED!!!!!

How come I can't code the SIMPLE button to play my movie?!?!?! I've looked this up in the Adobe Flash CS3 Pro book, I've looked at many flash tutorials on NewGrounds including this one, I've gone to Google and the Flash Tutorials Website, and NO RESULTS. I know how to make a rollover button and I understand the UP, OVER, DOWN, and HIT states, but I can't seem to get the code right. I really wanted to figure this out b4 putting any of my movies up, but it seems as though I'M TOO RETARDED lol... If any one has a simple tut on how to make this stupid thing happen... LET ME KNOW!

I have a problem...

I tried to make a button in CS4... but it always says "current selection cannot have actions applied to it"
i have it set on actionscript2... It just wont work for me. what should I do?!?

Thanks, these tutorials are all helpful and well-made, but when you click on the "next" button on the patterns and brushes page, it just goes to the buttons explanation.

andycastaneda, you (probably) just need to switch from actionscript 3 to actionscript 2
