Reviews for "VZ Series:Naruto V Sasuke"

well

i never liked animay (execpt dragonballz) so i didnt like the idea... good job though

Thanks..and that's understood...in my later flashes i will try to go for unconventional characters

two guys fighting better

You're doing a better job of depicting an action sequence. However, I felt the endings were too short. Apparently in an earlier version, replay meant the entire sequence was repeated, which certainly would feel tiresome for the limited payoff to see how either Naruto or Sasuke would win the fight. 'Choose your path' is a nice idea, but one of three 5 second endings isn't much of a choice.

I didn't notice so much the technical issues that had bugged me with your last submission. The video clips were integrated alright, though their quality was poor. The issue I'm seeing now, like other reviewers have noted, is that a straight fight can only be so interesting (particularly if viewers aren't devoted Naruto fans).

BTW, though this movie had less dialogue than your last submission, I did notice some grammar errors, such as using "easy" when you should've written "easier". Strunk & White: http://www.bartleby.com/141/

Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the review...

Defently showing improvement

Now, Naruto I know, so I may be a little more critical then I was in the SF sprites

Graphics: 75/100
Not the best quality sprites, but the explosions and some of the other effects added to your score.

Audio: 100/100
I did not see any way you could have improved the audio

Storyline: 110/200 (I combined the storyline and innovation together again)
The Naruto and Sasuke story was interesting to watch, but you still did not do anything new. So, you did not get full marks for the lack of innovation.

Replay value: 90/100
One of your strong points is you "work the crowd" and I loved how I was able to choose who wins. (I watched all three endings.) Really the graphics where the only thing that held you back from a perfect score in this area.

Overall score: 375/500 = 75/100
I gave you a 4/5

Well done, and you are improving, but you still are not taking big enough risks. Do something that is untested, something that people might hate, something that people might love so much it gets on the front page. Doing the same "safe" stuff will never get you anywhere. I only tell you this 'cause I see you have the makings of a great flash artist, and I want to see it happen.

Thanks man for another excellent review...u should really join the review request club... your style is in line with their style...which means I truly enjoy reading them

I liked it!

5'ed and 9/10

Nice use of sprites.
Background is good but kinda wierd.
I likes tha attacks they used.

Overall 10/10.

mortis5000 responds:

Thanks

There's some talent here.

The sprites move with enough fluidity to make the action work, and they're generally handled well.

I stand by my belief that sprite flashes occupy a space with punk rock and Spike TV, being cheap entertainment that requires no thought. This movie certainly delivers that, but to be a truely great flash artist, you need diversity.

I suggest learning a bit of traditional animation, or making your own sprites. Additionly, try a movie with a different scenario than the clichéd "Two characters meet each other and start a fight". You've voiced your interest in becoming a popular artist in the past, and I think those skills will help you attain that.
