Very original entertaining game!
I love the digitized actors and the real look to the game! I reminds me of the 90's adventure games for PC, real actors and real FMV. I still wonder why that style isn't still around. After all, what better graphics can you have than real people? The concept of the game is absolutely original, kinda like a morbid take on the Sims. I can't recall of another depressed artist sim anywhere else. But if he has a girlfriend who looks like Farah does, why is he so depressed? My hot girlfriend is one good reason why I'm not off the deep end! :)
I do have some criticism though. One thing is the control scheme needs to be improved. Maybe if you just clicked on the item you want to use, or use the keyboard keys to move it would work better. I often find myself doing things I don't wanna do when all I wanna do is walk to the other end of the room or to another item in the room. Another thing is maybe you should lower the point requirements for the "special" endings. You basically don't have a chance to score big points unless one of the challenges pops up. Of course, most of those are only good for a thousand point bonus. But the 2,000 point and 4,000 bonus really make the difference, and unfortunately they only pop up rarely, if at all. So basically you're at the mercy of random challenges that may or may not even appear during the game! Maybe either have the point requirements reduced, or make the worthwhile challenges appear more often.
Overall, you definitely have made a highly entertaining and highly original game. Can't wait for part 2!
