Reviews for "Zombie Survival Quiz 1.0"

Sorry

It's too close to that successful game actually called zombie survival, only it's less imaginative. It needed some kinda music, so you can actually build some suspense. You gotta imagine that someone's at home in the dark pissing their pants while taking the quiz

I disagreed with all of the answers to your questions for these reasons:

1 - It is a risk to save your friend, but at the same time it depends on whether you have the weapons to fight or how fast the zeds can move (if it's fast zombies he's pretty much dead, but if it's slow zombies there's still time to save him, and your gonna need all the help you can get).

2 - In my area it would be best to go home and save my family since we have a fortified, self sustanable home (high fences, gardens, farmyard, storage, communications, supplies, weapons etc)
The weapons store would be the worst idea in my case since it's located deep within the city, and the city would be crawling with monsters. I'd be better of staying away using my makeshift weapons at home.
Also, if there's any survivors, the weapon stores would be looted unless everybody died trying to get there.

3 - If in the long term I some how ended up in a weapon store (it's better as a long term solution since it takes time to sort through the appropriate ammunition for the appropriate guns) and I happeend to run into a zombie I would pick the bat anyways so nothing wrong here.
But the weapon store would not be my first solution unless I'm close enough to it and if it's safe enough to move there.

4 - I'd take all three weapons if I could (I'm usually wearing a backpack in real life) but if occasion happens and I don't have a backpack I would pick the katana and either gun.
9mm and shells are common and both guns are good for different things but they also have their drawbacks (shotgun is close ranged and powerful, but slow reloading and cumbersome, it may slow you down, MP5 even though it may not have much stopping power or damage vs zeds, it has a longer range with a quicker reload and more bullets to spare per clip).

5 - Like I said. Once I have weapons I'm going home or wherever my family is. I'll die trying if I have to.
The mall is out of the question since it would be absolutely swarmed with zombies, especially if the outbreak hits within daylight hours before closing. The mall would be a long term solution, but I'd do my best to stay away from there.
My home is safe since my particular house is self sustainable. The only problem would be keeping the zeds from taking out the fences.

6 - I'd do A followed by B then C stating that I would kill him if he tries anything funny, although I would be caring right after just so he gets the point not to screw around, but not to make him afraid or my enemy. If he runs then he runs, if he fights he gets hit/shot, if he's infected I'd keep him at a distance and kill him when he's about to turn (risky I know, but I'd do it if I'm alone with the guy).

I really like the music and SFX to this game though. Don't let our criticisms discourage you, creating a zombie quiz is not easy since there's a huge amount of variables that go into an answer and since we don't know what real zeds would do.

Some people would say "no a zed will smell you a mile away" or "no a zed can walk underwater" or "no a zed can't move in water at all" or "a zed can detect you with a sixth sense", how the heck do they know? Have they seen a zed?
Don't they realize that adaptable mutations can do any variety of things to a creature? How would they know that a zed would die from a brain damage when they may have a mutation similar to a cockroaches where they don't need a head anymore?
How would they know if zeds are slow when they may have some form of mutation that removes rigor mortis? (Especially if the pathogen is specifically designed and engineered by science to do those sorts of things).

I'd say keep it up and if you make another quiz be careful of the other factors (like the situation of a place, the skill level of people ie some people are fast runners or trained in parkour so they would be able to escape easier than a normal person, time of day the outbreak hits, what type of zeds the player is actually facing ie fast, slow, strong etc)

And keep with the nice and creepy music and SFX :D

it was OK....

it needs to be longer. and some of the questions need alternate answers. like in the weapon shop. if you knew the katana was stuck to the wall. u wouldnt try and rip it off. or maybe instead of having a "game over" when you get a question wrong, lettin the quiz continue and then get a percentage at the end. like...
"You have a 70% chance of surviving a zombie attack." so just make a few improvements and it'll be 10/10.

ThomSip responds:

part 2 is in the making, and the precentage thing you just mentioned. I will use that yes ;)

thanks for the constructive critism

needs improvement

it needs improvement like different answers and not restarting every time u get it wrong.

Amusing, but inaccurate

On question 1 - You got that spot on. Ruthless as it may be, it's always best to leave someone who doesn't have any hope. Survival is the key.
2. Here the problems begin. My first choice would always be to go home. If the outbreak started near where you are, the likelihood is that they haven't gotten to your home yet, although it is always foolish to assume. Plus you are entirely familiar with your home and may have a zombie plan set up to originate from there. You might even have a firearm at home - more suitable than the weapons you could get from your local weapons shop (as Ambassador said). And you're always more familiar with your own home than some shop.
3. A baseball bat lacks the lethal force required to smash a zombie's skull unless you are extremely muscular. And as Ambassador said, the weaponshop has probably been looted before now, after all. What weapons will be left..? And on the subject: Upon finding a shotgun, katana, baseball bat or even an mp5... would you know how to use it? Really and truly? It's always better to use a weapon you're familiar with, at the risk of breaking it or using it incorrectly...either could be fatal mistakes.
4. You should always have AT LEAST ONE hand to hand combat weapon! And pick up silencers and stuff too...crowbars are best for hand to hand combat.
5. Ignore EVERYTHING you see in movies; again paraphrasing Ambassador, malls are TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE places to go...too difficult to defend, too many entrances and exits, and again, never fully secure. And again, not all the people you meet may be friendly...
6. Again, spot on.

Sorry...I'm a bit of a zombie fanatic. XD; Whenever I see stuff like this, I RAEG.
So there you have it.

Oooh, and on criticism: Again, it could be more accurate~~ and more questions would be nice! <3 maybe you could remake this someday and that might get a higher score. 8D It's pretty fun, it could just use a bit of a do-over.
