Pkmn2 darkleo101 was actually right about Super Mecha Sonic. Back on the Mega Drive with the original Sonic games, if you stuck Sonic and Knuckles and Sonic 3 together and played Knuckles's story, his final boss was Super Mecha Sonic, he used the Master Emerald to Power up and turned yellowy gold and you fought him at the top of the Sky Santuary Zone. And I think by Perfect Form he meant Metal Madness.
You were right also though, as the power ups you stated do happen in Sonic Heroes although I personally prefer the older forms rather than the newer ones.
Liked the video aswell, all in all a good one if a little short.
