Reviews for "The Noob FF Line Avoider"

bigger lines

make the lines more apart and we got a winnner

zachattackx responds:

That seems to be a common complaint...

I'll fix that for when I make the sequel.

Not bad for a first attempt

Not bad for a first try. You got the audio in the loading screen, which in my opinion was too loud... Spelling error, Line Avoider, not Advoider. Title was... slanted, but it's minor.
About the game, you can kind of "save" the progress, by looping back to a different point. That way you don't have to restart all over again. For example, instead of looping back to the very beginning with the warrior, after losing on Thief, just loop back to beginning of thief? Would be less frustrating for someone who fails on the last one, the black mage. I DO like that the white mage was animated, as in it kept moving while the game was progressing. You should look into doing that for all the characters. I like it that you added a twist, so that one character has to go to another one, instead of just fighting the bad guy. The ending was stuck at the bad guy spinning, as you know already. please find a way to fix that. Other than that... you'll need an ending screen? :) Not bad for a first try. I hope other more knowledgeable individuals can help.

zachattackx responds:

Thank you for the Constructive comment, that really helps a lot...

As for the Restart on the charactor that died, I was kinda in a rush to Upload that On Kong, and I didn't have time to add those details in... I will work on it to make it more of what you expect of a Classic Final fantasy Fight.

I'm not quite sure why It can't end... I'll have to check the code for that frame...

nice try

i thought that the lines were too close together. you should spread them out and maybe make a bigger maze. fo sho homie

zachattackx responds:

Who doesn't love a challenge? But I can see where you would think that it was too hard...

I'll make the sequel easier...

Try for a better sequal

It is a little bit hard and the white mage maze is harder to see than the rest.
You should make a second one with multiple levels.
Also see if you cant make more detailed characters.
Maybe a longer music track could help.
Sound effects for death,hit,and heal could be included.
Also try a story line.
And maybe add moving images.
One more thing,I coudnt read the title,see if you cant make it more readible for the next one,OK

zachattackx responds:

Yeah, I'll make it easier next time around, with more noticeable titles...

I Was going to make a plain Line Avoider, but decided that I could Add Some Final Fantasy Symbols I was Working on for an animation collab. I intentionally made them simplistic, but if you think they would look better with more detail, I guess I'll try for that.

I forgot to make the Fight Music loop, And I won't make that Mistake for the sequel

nice game

i love that game, im actually trying to beat it right now...anyways....

the gameplay was to understand and was a little challenging...but the way you made the game, you can just hold the mouse button and go straight over the whole maze...you can fix this by making a movieclip follow the mouse and make put a hittest on the movieclip following the mouse and the walls...

but overall a short, fun game

zachattackx responds:

I probably will get ridiculed for this, but the Only things I can Do in AS are

stop();

and

on(press/rollOver){
gotoAndStop/Play(Frame Number)}

I think that having a movie clip following the mouse is a little too advance for the moment...
