Reviews for "Star Wars: Rogue Squadron"

Its pretty fun, could use some more features.

Well, its fun for about five minutes, it runs smoothly, the graphics are decent. But there should be a way to dodge, we should be able to see our bullets, and we should have more time to kill them. An upgrade shop would be cool too.

tank2tank responds:

Good ideas- all technically possible if I spent a lot more time... To be honest I need to learn more scripting. There's a good chance I will do a sequel at some point, so you can expect some pretty big improvements if I do it.

was alright

i liked the 64 version better.

tank2tank responds:

OK, well this is just a tribute, I'm not trying to top the original series or anything... especially seeing as its my favourite series of Star Wars games,

Wow

I was impressed with how well the game follows the storyline, yet takes its own direction when compared to prior Star Wars games. It was challenging. However, there is an issue with Episode 6. If you launch a seismic charge before you die and it explodes while you die, you can replay the episode as if a seismic charge is going on throughout the entire episode. Every ship will automatically die. I got a perfect score as a result (save for missing one ring).

That's a pretty significant bug, I think.

tank2tank responds:

Thats interesting... very interesting. I'll check it out, sounds like a pretty cool glitch to me.

Great Job

Love ur art style, audio, and it was totally awesome. Little hard to avoid damage though...

Neat

I'll give you top scores for graphics and presentation, but there HAS to be a way to avoid damage. Or at least have some warning that enemies are approaching so you have a chance to shoot them before they shoot you. It's a great idea and a solid game, but too rapid for a console gamer. I'm sure PC gamers had no problem with this.

tank2tank responds:

It is annoying I know, and in the end, its quick reaction times that help in this game. I experimented with combining the 3rd person flight control (as seen in the ring sequences) with the point and click action, but in the end it just felt a lot more natural to have them separate.
