I agree that the sticks were badly drawn and seem to be animated frame-by-frame but isn't this inspiration to us amateur flash cartoonists to aspire to do something like this but do not have the drawing skills? BTW, the sticks were drawn frame by frame, right?

Yeah, each and every stick is animated frame by frame. Its the only way to truly animate :P

Reminds of one day in math class when I drew a Stick Battlefield. This is almost the flash version of it.
I really enjoyed the destructible envrionment. It felt... Real-er (Is that a word?)
Also, there was a nice hint of humor to it. The best was when the fuse was already blown off the cannon and a stick was kicking it to make it work.
LAST! Were those original sounds? I'm happy with anyone who doesn't use the same mainstream explosion noises and all that junk.

A lot of them were ones I found on sites like sounddogs and findsounds, but I recorded a few myself too (like the very last guy who nearly survives, hehe). I did re-use a few sounds that I've heard in other animations too though.
