While this is quite funny for what it is; the scene from 'Hot Shots: Part Deux' that rips the piss out of Rambo I think captures spoof alot better, albeit that was about the ridiculous unlimited ammo in 80s action movies, wheras this was about Arcade shoot-em-ups. I think the idea hadf it's heart in the right place, but it certainly isn't the best movie I've seen in recent times and I can't score it highly as I feel there's barely anything to it..../which makes little sense to me as a 'racommended' front pager.
I'm certainly not bashing you, I liked where it was going- I love a good action movie pisstake as much as the next guy, I just found this to be very short, I think it overcooks the joke a bit towards the end, and it simply didn't make me laugh out loud and I'll not want to show it my friends as a result. (Which is what I tend to do with films like this that parody things I like.)
Not a bad effort, it's a good stab at the joke, and hopefully you can improve in the future, if only just through rethinking the punchline to any parodies you do in future and just making it snappier, less drawn out, you know?
