Reviews for "Brick Hole"

now ways....

.....what was that? navigation very tricky, arrows spin in the opposite direction...
not original concept but interesting approach...

really really really hard

Or at least at 4 am it is, fuck this really pissing me off. If can't sleep and now I'm trying to beat this game, I don't know why, maybe my mind is under too much stress... anyway cool concept even though it's hard, it's still fun

Try to...

Hi. I love the concept. Sound gets anoying when you cannot turn it off.
I suggest to keep same proportions beetween row sizes - width and height, cause you get a funny feeling, that your blocks change shape during the faling.

Have you tried to rotate entire circle, to keep falling brick by the top edge of screen?

1 button is 3?

This is an amazing game. I used to play tetris a ridiculous amount, causing me to occasionally dream I was playing tetris. This game would have been nearly as addictive except for a couple things that seriously hindered my enjoyment.

While the circularity was tricky, it was very possible, and even the inverted shapes became normal to my perception, I could not get used to the way the buttons didn't work. Pressing control one time flipped the shape anywhere between 1 and 3 times and made it somewhat unpredictable and impossible ultimately. Also, the direction keys occasionally didn't respond, me having to press them 2 times to make it move one square over.

This last thing isn't a complaint, but in the original tetris I was familiar with, the rotation key was the up arrow and it doesn't seem to me that the up arrow is useful in this version, so why not make the up arrow rotate the shape?

Other than this, the worst thing is the inability to turn off the sound.

Also, the text for the title page doesn't all fit within the defined window size neither horizontally nor vertically.

With a bit of clean up, this game could be amazing, almost as revolutionary as the original tetris. I can definitely see why this made the front page.

Thanks for creating this.

Needs tweaking!

I've been wondering since I first played Tetris why nobody had made something like this. Turns out, it seems, because it is nearly unplayable.

While I like the concept, I found the change in block shape as they fall towards the center, and having the blocks move/fall in different directions as you spun them around the center quite difficult to handle. When they first spawn, they look quite distorted, and it takes some time to make the connection to what they are supposed to be.

I think I would be quite interested in seeing this again. If you tried making the entire workspace rotate, instead of having the block travel around it, I think it'd make things much easier to work with -- you'd have more control over where blocks spawn, and you'd have a more intuitive control scheme.
Just a suggestion.

If this can get cleaned up a bit, I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes another big time waster. Good luck. ;)
