Yeah, it's terribly unfortunate. I have so many feelings for the English dub (thanks to nostalgia). And thank you! As far as Trunks's eyes go, it may have to do with the colour choice. I wanted a nice color between Bulma and Vegeta's skin, so his secondary and tertiary skin colors have a lot of red hue, which is more associated with feminine shades maybe? I'll keep that in mind next time.
