Comments, Feedback, Scores
I loved the way the missiles acted and the variations in speed and type. Good timing with the missile regen speed and upgrades, as well as shield timing and upgrades. It's a fun game to play. Quite, in fact.
However, here's where I'm tilting. The powerups are useless. I spend all my money upgrading my missiles and home base shield. If it's what I'm using to kill the missiles, then it has to survive. Everything else is secondary. Because I spend all my money this way, I survive much longer and have more weapons readily available. But the escalation of the missile attack matches this, therefore making the time I use to upgrade my base the only real upgrade available if I'm to survive.
What I'd like to see in the next one--as you're obligated to make one now that you've been frontpaged--is a "leveling" system of some sort for the main base and powerups that have to be used in sync with the missiles if you're ever going to stay alive.
As for scores (and why I know the tactics I'm using are legit):
Rank: High General
Final Score: 108,700
Diehard: 5246 missiles destroyed
Guardian: 2476 total kills
Moneybags: 11049 resources saved
Accuracy: 148% accuracy
Combo: 74 hits in a row
Surgical: 235 missiles disabled
Deadeye: 480 perfect hits.
How'd I do it? By choosing targets carefully. That's what it's all about, right there at the end. It's the different between 40,000 and 100,000 points.
Great game.
