Reviews for "The Inquisitorial Charge"

Not much happened really

The description sounded interesting, but what I thought was introduction turned out to be the whole thing. The style has potential but I cannot see the the interest or entertianment value of this submission

SSSSSLLLLLLLOOOOOOWWWWWW!!!!!!!!

Don't get me wrong. This gets points for the artistic style, but this was as slow as molasses on winter. And on top of that, not much of a flash story wise. Yes, it's supposedly "based" on The Library of Babel, but other than that.... what else? I guess I was expecting more because, like I went into before, the art/visuals were kick ass.

I liked it

Great animation interesting style story allitle bland but not bad all in all great flash

purpose?

To refer viewers to the book? Not enough content to get one interested. To entertain? Not very funny.

The flash was quite atmospheric and this was mostly down to the music. I feel the whole thing could have been done more efficiently and aesthetically pleasing if it had some more time put into it. 7 hours won't make a classic unless you have something special or amusing.

Good try though.

Wolfenheim responds:

The purpose for this, if you read, was for a class project. So it wasn't to refer the viewers to the book, although I would probably be interested in whatever book spawned images like this, then again I am a sucker for hooded robes, steampunk like things. This is, as I see it, entertaining in a non-funny way though. Thanks for the review.

Ok I guess...

The way you made this simply cries out, "I need a Wacom tablet!!" :3

Unfortunately, the flash doesn't seem to convey much of a story. Some guy dressed in robes stands in a honeycomb-like library looking at books through a microscope. o_o; I've never read the book, but surely there's more to it than that.

Still, it's a good try. Next time just give it a bit more oomph with a story that has at least one cause 'n effect mechanism worked into it.

Wolfenheim responds:

Yeah, haha, I actually used a wacom tablet, a wacom SCREEN would be quite handier though haha. This was only like a project for class so it didnt really have to have a super understandable plot or anything, being that the whole class knew the story and could be like "Ohh. I get it,... sorta" But yeah I was sorta considering redoing this and making this longer, with voice actors and story and whatnot. Thanks for the review
